One of the choice areas to purchase real estate in East Boca Raton is a community called Lake Windwood. The community sits on approximately 10 acres of Boca Raton real estate just east of Florida Atlantic University. One of the bigger damages of the community is it’s in walking distance to the University. For this reason many faculty, staff and students enjoy living in Windwood and only having a short distance to walk to school or their occupation. When you buy Boca Raton real estate you are opening yourself up to possibly the best weather in the world notwithstanding perhaps the Gold Coast of Australia. So if a student can come to school that’s rated as well as Florida Atlantic University and stay off campus at a place like Windwood with its super large lake, 24 hour security, beautiful buildings that are Mediterranean-style, a fully staffed management office, two clubhouses with two swimming pools, two tennis courts, a racquetball court, and believe it or not walking distance to the beach who could ask for more.
This community was like so many nationwide that enjoyed great appreciation especially from late 2000 to late 2005. Places that were purchased in Windwood in the late 1990s basically doubled in price by late 2005 and then their values were more than cut in half in the preceding few years. Just like so much other Boca Raton real estate Windwood who has sought a wild ride. Prices even got as low as the $80,000 range but with the slowing of the short sales in somewhat of the foreclosures the lowest price unit available right now in Windwood believe it or not is $127,500.00. For this section of Boca Raton real estate there has been over the last year or so and astronomical appreciation of over 33% within the Windwood community. The old adage of buying a location, location, location never seems to go away and this is a prime example. Let’s say you bought a condo in West Lake worth and got a fantastic price of about $25,000.02 or three years ago you probably would only be able to sell that property at this time for $30,000 or so on a good day. So remember whether you’re searching for Boca Raton real estate real estate in any community always look for that special location and remember if you like it probably somebody else when you’re ready to resell all like it too.
